South and Vale Holiday Activities

During most school holidays, our Active Communities team offer a range of free and low-cost activities, for young children, teenagers and families to enjoy at locations across South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse.

Bookings open around a month before each holiday period – follow our new Active Communities Facebook page, you can join our mailing list to receive regular email updates, or if you have any questions; please email active.communities@southandvale.gov.uk 

The activities are usually very popular, we encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.  See below for details of our next programme of holiday activities and how to book. Booking is required to be able to attend our activities.

What’s on, where and when:

The Active Communities team are offering a range of activities for you and your family to be active this Christmas.  All activities are free but must be booked in advance!

Winter activity morning – 10:00-11:30am

Come and try Xplorer with our Christmas themed markers around the park. Join us inside with craft, music, games and more. 

• Friday 19 December – Benson Hall and Park, Benson, OX10 6LZ
• Monday 22 December – Cholsey Pavillion, Station Road, Cholsey, OX10 9PT

Winter activity afternoon

Join us for a free fun afternoon with family dance parties, soft play and craft activities for the whole family. 

• Monday 22 December, 1.30-3pm – The Junction, Next to the Library, Broad Street, Abingdon, OX14 3LZ
